The annual “Jeff Fest” during the first weekend of August will feature the rock, ska and punk sounds of Lucky Boys Confusion and an array of rock tributes, including salutes to Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger and Journey.
The two-day festival will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, and 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in Jefferson Memorial Park near Lawrence and Linder avenues on Chicago’s Northwest Side. The festival grounds are located about a block from the Jefferson Park CTA Transit Center, 4917 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Admission for those age 18 and over is $5 on Friday and $10 on Saturday, with children admitted free with a parent or guardian. Proceeds benefit the Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce and Jefferson Memorial Park Advisory Council.
Lucky Boys Confusion was founded in the late 1990s by a group of musicians hailing from DuPage County, and they have produced several popular songs, including “Hey Driver,” “Dumb Pop Song,” “Fred Astaire,” “Do You Miss Me” and “ Anything, Anything (I’ll Give You).” The group is scheduled to perform Saturday evening.
