Man charged with illegal videotaping

A man was arrested on April 8 for allegedly videotaping women in the washroom at the Chicago Eye Institute, 3982 N. Milwaukee Ave., according to the 17th (Albany Park) District police.
The suspect was identified by police as Robert A. Weiss, age 58, of the 900 block of South Michigan Avenue. He was charged with four felony counts of unauthorized videotaping, police said.
A woman reported on April 2 that when she was in the employee bathroom at the Chicago Eye Institute, she saw a camera lens in a toilet tank where a portion of the porcelain had been chiseled out, according to police. The woman reported that she removed the top of the toilet and saw a camera that was attached to of the tank with Velcro, police said.
Images on the camera showed that other women had been recorded in the washroom and that two women also had been recorded at Illinois Masonic Hospital, 836 W. Wellington Ave., where Weiss also works, according to police.
