Man was shot in an apparent gang-related incident

A man was shot in an apparent gang-related incident at about 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the 3200 block of North Linder Avenue, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
Officers responded to a call of a person shot and saw a man walking in front of a home bleeding from the hand and the leg, according to police. The 36-year-old man reported that while he was standing on the sidewalk in front of his apartment a small blue Honda drove by slowly and a person fired 5 to 6 shots at him, striking him in the left hand and left leg and grazing his lower back, police said. The man was treated at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, according to police.
