Men wanted in reported shootings on NW side

Police are searching for several people in connection with three shooting incidents in which two people were shot in the 17th (Albany Park) Police District.
Shots were fired at about 1:10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the 4000 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to 17th (Albany Park) District police.
Three men reported that they were driving south on Kimball when they saw a dark-colored 2012 to 2015 Acura TL with four male occupants driving north on Kimball, and that the Acura stopped and a male passenger exited and fired multiple gunshots, striking their car several times on the left side and sped away north on Kimball, according to police.
In the second incident, a man was shot at about 2:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the 4300 block of North Troy Street, according to police.
The man reported that he was driving south on Troy Street when a person fired gunshots and he exited his vehicle and ran away towards a business in the 3100 block of West Montrose Avenue, where an employee discovered that the man was shot in the back and he was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital, according to police. The man’s vehicle was also struck by gunfire, police said.
In the third incident, a man was shot at about 4:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the 4800 block of North Kimball Avenue, according to police.
The man reported that he was driving north on Kimball and stopped at the intersection of Ainslie Street when a dark-colored four-door sedan drove next to him and two males exited, approached the vehicle and pounded on the driver-side window to open the door, and fired shots, shattering the driver-side window and striking the man once in the hand, according to police. The man reported that he drove himself to Swedish Covenant Hospital for treatment, according to police.
The men were described as wearing dark clothes and masks resembling characters from the movies "The Purge" and "Scream." Detectives are investigating the incidents.
