New center at 5960 N. Milwaukee helps children with autism to reach full potential.

The Place for Children with Autism, which specializes in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, recently opened a new center at 5960 N. Milwaukee Ave.

“This new facility is designed to uphold our commitment to excellence in ABA therapy, offering an enriched environment for children on the autism spectrum and their families,” the center said.

The 8,800-square-foot center features state-of-the-art amenities, including four spacious treatment rooms, an indoor sensory gym, three additional treatment rooms, an all-seasons play area and several private offices for clinical and operational staff.

Enrollment information can be found at www.theplaceforchildrenwithautism.com or by calling 224-436-0788.

The Place for Children with Autism offers full-day, play-based autism therapy in a school-like setting for children ages 2-6, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The center takes a comprehensive and tailored approach to autism treatment,  preparing children for success in a school setting.

Megan Leinonen, the center’s director of marketing and outreach, said, "As a parent of an autistic child, I understand firsthand the importance of creating a space where kids look forward to coming each day. Our new center …  is designed to be just that—a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel excited and welcomed.

“ It’s not just about the physical space; it’s about the meaningful relationships our kiddos build with our clinical and operational staff, and the personalized treatment plans we develop to drive life-changing progress.

ur goal is to exceed expectations in communication, social interaction, and independent living skills. We are thrilled to expand our support to even more families through this new location and continue making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families."
