Printer’s Row Brewing in Jefferson Park to host pop-up Christmas Tree stand on Nov. 30 & Dec. 1

by BRIAN NADIG

The pergola outside Printer’s Row Brewing, 4801 N. Austin Ave., in Jefferson Park will be turned into a pop-up Christmas tree stand from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

“Grab a beer and shake a tree,” brewing co-owner Jonathan Wolf said.

“These are freshly cut trees … from upper Wisconsin … so they’re going to last (through the holidays),” Wolf added.

Several years ago Wolf came across a group of guys who go hunting in Wisconsin, and they happen to one day discover a beautiful Christmas tree farm. The owner told them that they could buy and haul away trees from the farm, and they eventually decided to get into the business of selling trees, forming “Kringle Brothers Christmas Trees,” Wolf said.

The tree stand will be located under the pergola next to the brewery along Mason Avenue, just north of Lawrence Avenue. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit Wounded Warrior Project, which helps injured veterans with their transition to civilian life.

The selling of the trees will coincide with the brewery’s annual holiday bazar from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, on Mason. The event will feature many local businesses along with Printer Row’s release of its “Mistletoe Mustache Xmas Ale.”
