Purple Hotel plans discussed
by CYRYL JAKUBOWSKI
Representatives of the North Capital Group presented their plans for the Purple Hotel, 4500 W. Touhy Ave., at the Lincolnwood Village Board of Trustees’ Committee of the Whole meeting on Sept. 17.
The hotel is being demolished. Work on the site is expected to begin next year, and the project is expected to be completed by the fall of 2015.
Plans call for a seven-story hotel building with 210 rooms, a six-story residential building, numerous retail spaces, office space, a health club, a grocery store and above-ground and below-ground parking garages.
About 150,672 square feet will be devoted to retail, 46,930 square feet for the health club and 49,065 square feet for offices, with 110 residential units and 1,317 total parking spaces.
