Rollover crash kills two

Two men were killed in a rollover car crash at about 10:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, in the 6000 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The men were in a GMC Envoy that was speeding northbound on Milwaukee Avenue and that made a sharp turn into a parking lot near Elston Avenue, causing the sport utility vehicle to hit two fences, flip over on its side and strike a light pole near the Esquire Motel, according to 16th (Jefferson Park) District police.
The men were transported to Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center where they were pronounced dead, police said.
The men were identified by the medical examiner as Dionte Coleman, age 28, of the 1800 block of South Fairfield Avenue, and Refujio Gomez, age 39, of the 4100 block of Elm Avenue, Lyons. The cause of their deaths was ruled as a motor vehicle accident.
