Search leads to 423 pounds of marijuana
A man was arrested for allegedly possessing five firearms and more than $3 million worth of marijuana at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in the 4800 block of North Kirk Street, Skokie, according to the Chicago Police Department Office of News Affairs.
Tactical officers from the 20th (Lincoln) Police District executed a search warrant of the man’s residence and arrested him after discovering an estimated 423 pounds of marijuana valued at about $3 million, as well as four handguns, a shotgun, and a large amount of cash in the residence, according to police.
The suspect was identified by police as David S. Gutierrez, age 31, of the 4800 block of North Kirk Street. He was charged with one felony count of manufacturing and delivery of cannabis, five misdemeanor counts of unlawful carry or possession of firearms, and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
