Shooting reported near Higgins & Linder in Jefferson Park

A male teenager was shot in the neck during an incident at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, near Higgins and Linder avenues, according to Chicago police.

He was transported to Lutheran General Hospital, and his condition was unknown, police said.

The incident follows the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old on Feb. 9 in the 5300 block of West Foster Avenue. Police have said that the Feb. 9 incident appears to be narcotics-related but that it remains under investigation.
