‘Sip & Shop’ coming Sept. 6 to the trendy ‘Jeff West’ corridor on Lawrence, with beer, fun, prizes
The Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce will hold “Jeff West Sip & Shop” from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in the 5900 block of West Lawrence Avenue.
In the past few years many new businesses have opened in the 5900 block of Lawrence, and Catalina Plant Co. owner Chris Meyer has dubbed the commercial corridor “Jeff West,” short for Jefferson Park.
The event will feature a block party, with family activities and more, outside Printer’s Row Brewing at Lawrence & Mason avenues. There also will be an array of pop-up vendors at Vito’s Vault, 5901 W. Lawrence Ave.
In addition, during the week leading up to Sept. 6, shoppers can pick up a raffle form, where they’ll get a stamp for stopping in participating shops, restaurants and bars.m, they will get an extra stamp for each $10 they spend. Each stamp gets an entry into the raffle, which includes more than $1,000 in prizes.
Participating chamber members include Delightful Pastries, Sol Space, A Taste of the Philippines, The Brig Chicago, Catalina Plant Co., Printer’s Row Brewing, Vito’s Vault, Chicago Test Kitchen, Plot Twist Used Books and Sunny Village Cafe.
