Taste of Polonia set for Labor Day Weekend
The Taste of Polonia Festival returns on August 30, 2019 – September 2nd, 2019 to the Northwest side, Chicago. This Labor Day festival lasts four days and is the largest Polish fest in the United States. Now in its 39th year, the event brings live music and dancing to three stages and children’s entertainment to a fourth stage. The 2019 festival hosts the return of many popular bands, combined with the best of Polish culture, music and cuisine.
This Chicago festival always features a huge variety of live music performed by over 35 bands, variety of food and merchants. It’s fun for the entire family.
Stages offer rock & pop music played by local bands Tributosaurus becomes Led Zeppelin, 7th Heaven, Gentleman of Leisure, Lance Lipinsky and the Lovers, Modern Day Romeos, and many more. Other stages offer World Music, polka bands, kid’s shows, movie screenings, folk dancing and more.
So much more: A Kids Stage with face painting, clowns, jump zone, hockey rink, soccer zone and many more dedicated children’s activities for every Chicago family. A block long merchant row offering shopping treasures from many vendors leads to carnival rides and games.
Inside the Copernicus Center: The historic theater offers ethnic dance and theater performances, Polish film festival, singing contest, classical music concert and much more. In addition, art exhibits, alcohol tastings, and our very own Casino, offer festival goers even more variety or a cooling break from the sun.
Proceeds from the Taste of Polonia Festival benefit the Copernicus Foundation, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. The Copernicus Foundation underwrites and sponsors numerous performing arts groups, community events, and local non-profit organizations of the Northwest side of Chicago. The Foundations underwriting has exceeded $250,000 for each of the past seven years.
