Taste of Polonia

The Copernicus Foundation will hold the annual "Taste of Polonia" festival will be held from Friday through Monday, Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, at the Copernicus Cultural and Civic Center, 5126 W. Lawrence Ave.

The hours of the festival are 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and noon to 10 p.m. Monday.

The festival will feature Polish food, imported beer, a marketplace, folk dancing, casino games, a carnival and arcade games.

The entertainment lineup will feature 36 bands on five stages including Gentlemen of Leisure, Rico Band, Tributosaurus, Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band Street Survivor, Beatles tribute band American English and Elvis impersonator Rick Saucedo.

Activities for children will include a children’s theater, dance and music workshops, karaoke, balloon twisting, face painting, talent and game shows, and a cook-off.

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors age 65 and older and free for children age 12 and younger.
